Creating for an Audience of One
In a world driven by algorithms and the constant pursuit of external approval, it is easy to fall into the "dangerous trap" of trying to please everyone. When we paint with everyone else’s color palette, the result is inevitably beige; it is impossible to satisfy every critic, so we shouldn't attempt to do so.
As an artist, your primary job is to create for an audience of one: yourself. Photography is not a democracy, and your internal voice should never be muffled by the noise of outside opinions. When you create work from the heart that truly moves you, that sincerity is what ultimately connects with the right viewers—those who genuinely understand and value your unique perspective.
Trends will inevitably change and opinions will fluctuate, but the integrity and conviction you hold in your own vision are what will endure. Create with purpose, find peace in your own compositions, and remember that authenticity is far more important than universal approval.
Stay true to your vision and create from the heart.
